New England Laser Processing Gets New Leadership, Focus 

Michael McCullock takes over ownership, management at laser cutting and marking shop. 

Danvers, Massachusetts – Thursday, May 1, 2008 

New England Laser Processing, a premier job shop for precision laser cutting since 1988, today announced both new management and a new focus for its current and future customers. 

The new owner, Michael McCullock, explains, “Even though the company has been around more than 20 years, you can think of us as a new company focused entirely on what our customers need.”

McCullock, who worked at the firm in its early days, explains that the new focus is driven by the hard realities of today’s economy: 

“We’re all in the same boat. Materials costs are skyrocketing. Shipping costs are soaring. Everywhere you look, it costs more to do less.” 

“So, under new leadership, this company is all about commitment to our customers and their bottom line.” 

In terms of day-to-day operations, McCullock notes that he and his staff first looked at – and adjusted – the pricing structure. Next, they made the decision to invest in the substantially more efficient equipment, to upgrade software and the inspection processes, and to hire skilled, seasoned personnel to run the new equipment. 

McCullock sees an immediate return on these investments: “The bottom line is that we can help our customers get and keep a competitive edge, no matter what the economy does. That’s a promise we’re sure we can keep – and very much a win/win situation.”
